Berlin, 1931. Working in the advertising department of a cigarette factory during the day, Jakob Fabian spends the night drifting through bars, brothels, and artist studios with his wealthy friend Labude. One night, Fabian encounters Cornelia, an inspiring actress, and falls in love with her. When her career takes off thanks to her boss who is also her greatest admirer, Fabian grapples with the arrangement as his and the world around him fall apart.

 

NEUE FILMBAR

Neue Galerie New York is delighted to present Filmbar, a newly imagined movie series hosted in Café Fledermaus. Filmbar tickets include access to the museum’s galleries, one complimentary drink and snack, and a movie screening in Café Fledermaus, a relaxed bar atmosphere reminiscent of early 20th century Vienna. During the screening, you are invited to sip on a glass of wine, beer or a non-alcoholic beverage and enjoy a savory treat.

4:00 p.m. | Filmbar ticket holders may access the museum’s galleries.

5:00 p.m. |  Café Fledermaus doors open for seating and pick up of complimentary beverage and snack.

5:30 p.m. |  Screening begins. Additional beverages and snacks are available for purchase.

 

PLEASE NOTE

Proof of vaccination will continue to be required for guests entering the building for special programs and events at the museum, including Filmbar. Until further notice, the Neue Galerie will continue to require all visitors age 2 and up to wear a face mask unless seated for dining.

Members may purchase tickets at the discounted rate for themselves and up to one guest. Proof of membership must be presented upon arrival.
