SOMMERFEST

One of two signature events for the Junior Council, Sommerfest allows Junior Council members and young supporters of the Neue Galerie to celebrate the summer season at the museum.

Wine and canapés will be served by the celebrated Café Sabarsky led by Michelin-starred chef Kurt Gutenbrunner and accompanied by a live musical performance by Sammy Miller and The Congregation. The entire museum will be open for private viewing of the permanent collection as well as two special exhibitions: "The Self Portrait, from Schiele to Beckmann" and "Eclipse of the Sun: Art of the Weimar Republic."

The total ticket cost ($100/person) is 100% tax-deductible and helps support the Neue Galerie's Annual Fund. Please note that tickets are nonrefundable.

JUNIOR COUNCIL AT THE NEUE GALERIE

The Junior Council is a dynamic and diverse group of individuals between the ages of approximately 21 and 40, committed to supporting the Neue Galerie’s mission. Each season, members are engaged with exclusive programming, both in and outside the museum, centered on early twentieth-century German and Austrian art and design. The ultimate goal of the group is to help secure the future growth, development and success of the museum. Membership dues begin at the Contributing level.

Events have included behind-the-scenes tours of the Neue Galerie’s current exhibitions and permanent collection; visits to galleries and auction houses; artist’s studio visits and gallery talks; networking opportunities with like-minded young professionals; and multidisciplinary lectures.

For further information about the Junior Council, please contact Allison O’Keeffe, Manager, Membership and Development, at +1 212 628 6200 ext. 475 or juniorcouncil@neuegalerie.org.
