Filmbar: The Wild Cat | Die Bergkatze

This event is no longer on sale.

Friday December 15

6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

the Wild Cat

Directed by Ernst Lubitsch. 1921. Silent film. 79 min.

Transferred to a remote post, a rankish playboy Lieutenant is tasked with capturing the head of a gang of bandits. Instead, he tracks even more dangerous prey as he falls for the chieftain’s daughter, “Mountain Cat.” Boasting expressionistic set design and outlandish costuming, this satirical fantasy from pre-Hollywood Lubitsch features his famous “touch” on full display.
