Valérie sajdik

Back at the Neue Galerie by popular demand, the Austrian-born chanteuse Valérie Sajdik (“Austria’s most beautiful voice”) returns with a sizzling program of Weimar-era and Weimar-inspired music, including works from Berlin, Vienna, Paris and beyond.

Cabaret at Café Sabarsky in the Neue Galerie continues its unique series devoted primarily to German and Austrian theatrical performance of the 1890s to 1930s. The intimate 60-seat room is exquisitely appointed with period objects, including lighting fixtures by Josef Hoffmann and furniture by Adolf Loos, and features a Bösendorfer grand piano.

Performances are at 9 p.m., preceded by a prix-fixe dinner at 7 p.m. Ticket cost is $150 per person for these special performances ($75 performance charged at time of booking, $75 dinner charged on evening of the performance). Guests must attend both dinner and performance and are responsible for total combined ticket cost. Ticket costs are nonrefundable. Tax, gratuity, and beverages are not included.

Held in conjunction with the exhibition "Ernst Ludwig Kirchner", on view at the Neue Galerie from October 3, 2019 to January 13, 2020.
