MISTY ANN STURM

A specialist in the music of Kurt Weill, and winner of the Lotte Lenya International Vocal Competition, Misty Ann Sturm’s voice was described as “breathtakingly beautiful” Atlanta Theater Review. She has presented several recitals of Kurt Weill's music at Lincoln Center and sang the soubrette role in "Mahogonny-Songspiel" at the Kurt Weill Festival in 1998. For her Café Sabarsky debut, she will perform beloved Weill classics along with his lesser-known works.

CABARET AT CAFÉ SABARSKY

Cabaret at Café Sabarsky in the Neue Galerie continues its unique series devoted primarily to German and Austrian music of the 1890s to 1930s, some of the most fertile and volatile music created in the modern era. The intimate 60-seat room is exquisitely appointed with period objects, including lighting fixtures by Josef Hoffmann and furniture by Adolf Loos, and features a Bösendorfer grand piano.

All performances are at 9 p.m., preceded by a prix-fixe dinner at 7 p.m.
Ticket cost is $140 ($65/person performance fee charged upon booking; dinner $75/person, charged on the evening of the performance). Tax, gratuity and beverages are not included.
