The Irish-born mezzo-soprano, whom the New York Times called “radiant”, returns to Café Sabrasky to take us on a journey through the  works of Kurt Tucholsky, Hanns Eisler, Georg Kreisler, Günter Neumann, Franz Lehár, Hans Hammerschmid & Friedrich Hollaender.

CABARET AT CAFÉ SABARSKY

Cabaret at Café Sabarsky in the Neue Galerie continues its unique series devoted primarily to German and Austrian music of the 1890s to 1930s. The intimate 60-seat room is exquisitely appointed with period objects, including lighting fixtures by Josef Hoffmann and furniture by Adolf Loos, and features a Bösendorfer grand piano.

Performances are at 9 p.m., preceded by a prix-fixe dinner at 7 p.m. Ticket cost is $140 per person for these special performances. ($75 dinner, $65 performance. Guests must attend both dinner and the performance. Performance fees are charged upon booking; dinner is charged at the completion of the meal. Tax, gratuity, and beverages are not included.)
